lay by me for a moment
silence as peace, silence as solitude
As I lie here,
I’m more attuned than ever to the rhythm of my breath —
how it quickens, deepens,
building with the rising pull of desire.
I ache for a touch that draws us closer,
where it’s clear how long we’ve both been wound tight,
and only the two of us,
in this single moment,
can unravel it.
The pressure of our lips meeting,
the exquisite synchronicity of bodies,
as if everything in me is programmed to respond,
where thought fades,
and instinct takes the wheel.
A liberation I never knew,
unlocked by one —
but now,
I’m left to handle this energy on my own,
to find release when it overwhelms me.
I crave the sensation of lying next to someone,
feeling their heartbeat against mine,
the sound of their breath syncing with my own,
a silent conversation between two bodies,
an unspoken promise of shared desire.
